.Delories Hampton, born on January 24, 1961, in the serene town of Lone Star, South Carolina, left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. From her earliest days, Delories radiated warmth and kindness, drawing people to her like a gentle magnet. Delories was reared in the home of her grandmother, the late Mrs. Dorothy Brunson Scott.
Delories graduated from St. John Elementary/High School in Carmeron, SC. Delories then furthered her education at Bronx Community College in Bronx, New York.
Delories was employed as an Assistant Librarian, Health Aide, and Security Officer in New York and help positions with various family businesses in Bronx, New York until her health declined.
Delories completed her life journey on Monday, January 15th, 2024. Delories is and will always be greatly missed.
Delories leaves to cherish her fond memories: her children, Karen M. Buckman of Fort Motte, SC, Edward T. Hampton of Bronx, NY, Lavette S. Hampton of Staten Island, NY, Algreedee W. Hampton, of the home in Bronx, NY; her loving sister, Dorothy A. (Abraham) Wright of St. Matthews, SC, a brother, Henry Hampton, Jr. of Bronx, NY; two uncles, James W. Scott, of Plainfield, NJ, Samuel (Mary) Scott of Branchville, SC; four aunts, Lessie Scott of St. Matthews, SC, Florence Thompson, of Queens, NY, Elizabeth Hampton of Bronx, NY and Mary Hampton of Fishkill, NY; one grand aunt, Idell Blocker of Lone Star, SC, fifteen grandchildren, one great grandson, very special nieces and nephews of South Carolina/North Carolina, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She also leaves to cherish her memories her sister & lifelong friend Tweena Perry of Bronx, NY.
