Deacon Freddie Cokely was born to the late Viola Anderson and Jake Cokely January 9, 1936 in Holly Hill, SC, and he entered into eternal rest on June 28, 2025 at the blessed age of 89.
He attended the public schools of Holly Hill, SC where he played football for many years.
He has served as a deacon and devotional leader for many many years. Deacon Cokely was a faithful member of Christ Last Call Ministry and had a great passion for Sunday School. He had a passion for people and always encouraged everyone he came in contact with. He was joined in holy matrimony to Allean D. Cokely for over thirty years.
Deacon Cokely leaves behind to cherish his precious memories: his loving and devoted wife Allean Cokely of the home; two daughters: Justine (Rev. S.S.) Prioleau and Eranessa Hunt; five sons: Jasper (Jasmine) Cokely, Freddie Cokely, Jr., David (Jacqueline) Cokely, Leroy (Leather) White, and Dewayne (Latrice) White; two sisters: Margaret Brown and Ophelia Stewart; three brothers-in-law: George Daily, Vandy (annie Ruth) Daily, and Tommie (Sherika) Howe; one grandson that was reared in the home, Janvier Hunt; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
