Psalm 73:26 (NIV)
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
De’Angelo Tyrone Felder, Sr. was born on April 1, 1982, to Robert (Rock) and Gerlene Felder Jamerson. He departed this earthly life and began his eternal life on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.
Dee, Dee Money, or Dee Low, as he was affectionately known, was born, raised, and attended school in Dorchester County and later moved to Berkeley County where he attended the public schools of Berkeley County. He ended his education in the Job Corps Services. He grew up, joined, and became a member of Canaan Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Moncks Corner, South Carolina and was a member of the Sunbeam Choir.
Dee enjoyed being in the company of Deacon Kenneth L. Ancrum, Sr. Deacon Ancrum would always inquire about him with his mother whenever he did not see him or just to ask how he was getting along. Deacon Ancrum enjoyed having conversations and working alongside Dee. He began assisting with the parking committee when a funeral was scheduled at the church, assuring that the vehicles were parked in an orderly fashion. On May 21, 2022, the church held dual programs; the Women’s Conference and the monthly Soup Kitchen, in which Deacon
Ancrum is the coordinator. Dee joined the men and helped serve lunch to the women. He also volunteered on the Soup Kitchen Committee and truly enjoyed it and did it with a smile on
his face. He served many people on that day. That same day, he wanted to serve as a permanent staff member on the Soup Kitchen Committee and he was welcomed with open arms. His
presence will be truly missed.
Dee did not mind assisting in the church and community. He would help anyone in any way that he could. His favorite saying was “Take It Easy Babe.”
Dee had a deep passion for working in construction, which he enjoyed doing. He was employed with various jobs for many years as a construction worker: Jennings Concrete Walmart, Austin & Farrell, and Southern Concrete & Construction. He later decided to break away from the outside heat of construction and began working in a cooler environment at Americold as a LTO, where he did some of everything.
Dee loved dancing, playing basketball, fishing, and cooking, especially firing up the grill during the summer months. Dee’ had absolutely nothing but love for all his children. All he ever wanted to do was to be there, provide for them and be the best father that he could possibly become. He would often say that he just wanted to get together with his children, nieces, and
nephews to spend time with them at the same time. When he spoke of them, his face displayed a special glow on it. Dee bonded with his entire family, but he had a special bond with his Uncle Wayne. He enjoyed the times that they would spend together, getting a sub sandwich on their sub day, joy riding and attending church together.
Dee leaves to cherish his fond memories: His loving parents, Robert (Rock) and Gerlene Felder Jamerson; His three children, Roderick (Rocka) Simmons, D’Angelo Tyrone Felder, Jr., and Seymazj Rivers; Two Brothers, Curtis Lamont (Rose) Felder, Summerville SC, and Robert De’Angelo (Ja Quetta) Jamerson, Jr., North Charleston, SC; Three Sisters, Quintessa (Kevin) Johnson, Goose Creek SC, Felisha President, Ridgeville SC, and Melissa Jamerson, Dallas TX; Honorary Brother, Shaquille Haynes; Aunts, Dora (Allen) Johnson, Cross SC, Bertha Simmons, Moncks Corner, SC, Slyvia Garland, Ridgeville, SC, Wanda (Deacon Gene) Smalls, Sheila Manigo, Carolyn (James) Jackson, Harriet (Donald) Lemon, Tawnu (Jeffery Myers) Green all of Summerville SC; Great Aunts, Elouise Smith and Ruth (John) Stevens, Moncks Corner, SC; Uncles, Ruby Lee (Patricia) Ray, Eugene (Sandra) Green, Benjamin
