David Lee Jenkins also known as ‘Rakim Allah” was born on September 24, 1967 at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York; to the parents of Elizabeth Meekins and the late Will Williams, Jr.
Rakim grew up in Brooklyn New York where he attended public school thru high school. He spent most of his life with special friend Gloria Cruz of Brooklyn New York. In June of 2022 Rakim relocated to Holly Hill SC to live with his mother.
In the early hours of Monday July 31, 2023 Rakim made a peaceful transition at the home of his mother on Camden Road in Holly Hill SC.
Rakim loved his music and his old cars, his favorite hobbies were rapping and watching karate movies. He loved to take long night drives while listening to his favorite artist TuPac Shakur.
Rakim leaves behind his mother: Elizabeth Meekins, of Holly Hill SC; three daughters: Shakeya, Dinisha and Radasia ,all of Brooklyn New York; two sisters: Desiree (Dawayne) Alexander of Brooklyn New York and Felicia Tarsha Williams of Fort Worth, TX; two brothers: Darnell Meekins of Brooklyn New York and Billy Sha~rif (Lauren) Scarborough of Sioux Fall, SD; one granddaughter: Royce of Brooklyn New York; aunts: Rebecca Jenkins of Holly Hill SC, Willia Mae (Jeffery) Holland of Holly Hill, SC; (he always say that Willia Mae was his favorite aunt), Helen (Billy) Jaminson of Knoxville, TN, Mildred Goodwin of Bowman, SC, and Minnie (Margin) Lee Breaker of Bowman, SC; Mothers of his beautiful daughters: Christine and Rose Ann; two nieces: two nephews: one great nephew: and host of other relatives, cousins and friends.
