The Obituary
MRS. DAISY JAMES MANIGO, daughter of the late Frank James Sr. and Rosa Bell Rock James, was born in Eutawville, SC on November 8, 1932, and entered eternal rest on June 20, 2020. at Edisto Post Acute in Orangeburg, SC. Her childhood days were spent in Eutawville, SC where she attended public school in Orangeburg District 3. She departed to New York City and worked various jobs until she began working her dream job that she was so proud of at The Chase Manhattan Bank in New York.
She was a member of the Cannan Baptist Church in New York, New York and upon her retirement she returned back home and reconnected back with St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Eutawville, SC where she served with the Missionaries and the Mothers' Ministries, until her health failed.
She was married to the late Larry Manigo, Sr. The following persons preceded her in death: son (Patrick Jimmy Rock), Daughter (Cathy Herman); six brothers -- Edward Rock, Leroy James, Nathaniel James, Isaih James, Leon James, and Ruben Davis; two sisters, Dorothy J. Gadson and Ruth Davis.
Leaving to cherish her memory: two sons, Ronnie Manigo, Manhattan, NY; and Larry Manigo, Jr., Bronx, NY; one sister, Mrs. Annie Mae (William) Laval of Eutawville, SC; one brother, Frank James, Jr. of Vance, SC; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ada James, Manhattan, NY; Henrietta James, Holly Hill, SC; and Barbara James, Columbia, SC; five grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends along with her Church family; an especially dear and devoted friend, Mattie S. Davis, and special cousins -- Barbara James and Janie Barnes,
