Mr. Corie Simmons, Jr. was born to the late Top and Jannie Simmons on January 5, 1944 in Holly Hill, SC. He attended school in Vance, SC and was a faithful worker at Town Hall in Holly Hill, SC for 34 years.

Corie, was an active member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and attended church every Sunday for as long as he could. He was loved by everyone that he came in contact with.

Corie, was preceded in death by his parents: Top and Jannie Simmons and his brother, Fred Simmons.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories: three (3) sisters, Essie Mae (Newark, NJ), Barbara Jean (Jersey City, NJ), and Mattie Mae (Raleigh, NC); one brother, Eddie (Willingboro, NJ).; a special sister/cousin: Viola Lewis: and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
