Gone but never forgotten
Corey Gerome Holman was born in Holly Hill SC on September 13th, 1984, to Mr. Emmanuel Holman and the late Mrs. Rena Mae Myers Holman.
Corey was educated in the Holly Hill school system and graduate from Holly Hill-Roberts High School in 2002.
Corey joined Greater Target A.M.E Church at a young age. Corey was a member of the Sunbeam Choir and the YPDs.
As a young man Corey worked several places throughout his life to add to his trade, including Boeing (Charleston, SC), Pagseus Steel (Goose Creek, SC), Force Protection (Ladson, SC).
Corey was known for his love of race car driving, motorcycle riding, coaching little league baseball, playing baseball and football and watching his favorite football team the Philadelphia Eagles play.
Corey was preceded in death by his mother Mrs. Rena Mae Myers Holman, maternal grandparents Mr. Hazel White and Mrs. Lucille High, paternal grandparents Jacob and Martha Holman.
On September 27th, I cried when you passed away, I still cry today. Although I loved you dearly, I couldn’t make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me he only takes the best; Corey answered his calling and went home to the Lord.
Corey leaves the following to mourn his eternal sleep, celebrate his life and to cherish his fond and loving memories, his Father Emmanuel Holman, Sister Monica R. Holman and Daughter Zania Ijana′e Holman. Godmother Kathy White, and godsister Raven Scales. Great Aunts Carrie Benjamin and Ida Kay Bennett; Aunts Delores Heyward, Marlene Herbert, Erma Brown, Virginia Holman, Carrie Mae Holman, Georgianna White, Mary Ann High, Gwendolyn White, Albertha Thomas, Alicia (O’Neal) Lambright, Uncles Joe Lewis (Carolyn) High, Michael (Barbara) High, Harry (Betty) High, Kenneth High and Wilson Bryant.
Mentor George (Vernelle) Goodwin, Devoted friends Nurse Adam (St. George Healthcare), Troy Campbell, and Carolyn White (MUSC), Peter (Dipsy) Watson and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
Corey will be forever remembered as an amazing son, brother, father and friend; to know him was to love him
