Clem Mack, Jr. Obituary

Mr. Clem (Boolie) Mack, Jr. was born in Elloree SC, on June 3, 1937 to the late Clem Mack and Lizzie Turner Sally Mack.  “Boolie,” as he was affectionately known, very quietly and peacefully departed this life on March 15, 2021 at The Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg SC. 

Boolie, was accepted the lord as his savior at an early age and joined Granger Baptist Church of Elloree. He was also a faithful affiliated member of Antioch AME Church of Pinewood where he severed as a member of The Sons of Allen Society.

Clem was married to the late Lottie Mae Haynes, to this union they were blessed with his only child, Jeanette Rogers Burrell of New York. In the early 60’s, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio and then later returned home to South Carolina in the late 70’s to live with his niece Louise.  After a brief illness he was under the care of Alexander Golden Star Community Care Home, under the management of the Late Ollie Alexander, who took him in as a son. Boolie resided there until he received his heavenly call.

He was preceded in death by twenty-four siblings: Daisy, Minnie Lee, Judge, James, David, Willie Wilhelmenia Salley, Woodrow, David, Matthews, James, Rebecca Mack, Louise, Onetha, Euplyn, Elizabeth, Betsy Mae, Dorothy Mae, Authur, Lewis, Jimmie, Leroy, Walter Lee and AC Hanton.  Those left to cherish his memories are: his loving daughter Jeanette Rogers Burrell, of New York; his brother, J.D. (Faye) Hanton of Summerville, SC; one sister, Rosa Lee Bennette of Orangeburg, SC; two sisters-in-law: Mattie Mae Salley of Santee, S.C and Mary Hanton of Elloree, S.C.; four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
