Carolyn Davis Obituary

Carolyn Randolph Victor-Davis, a woman whose laughter could fill a room and whose love could fill a lifetime, passed away leaving behind a legacy of family, faith, and joy. Born on May 7, 1958, in Holly Hill, South Carolina, to George and Shirley Randolph, Carolyn’s story was one of resilience, devotion, and a spirit that touched everyone she encountered.

A Life Rooted in Love

Carolyn’s early years were spent in Holly Hill, where she was lovingly raised by her grandmother, Bernice Wright, alongside her brother, George (Herman) Randolph Jr. It was there that she learned the values of family, tradition, and perseverance—values that would guide her throughout her life. Later, she joined her parents in Jamaica, New York, where she began to carve out her own path, carrying with her the warmth of her southern roots.

A Career of Dedication

With determination and pride, Carolyn built a career of more than 30 years as a U.S. Customs and Border Specialist at the World Trade Center. Her work was not just a job but a testament to her dedication, her strength, and her commitment to serving her country. She was admired for her professionalism and respected for her unwavering spirit, even in the face of challenges.

A Family Built on Love

Carolyn’s greatest joy was her family. She welcomed her firstborn son, Clarence E. (Toby) Victor III, who became the light of her life. Later, she met and married the love of her life, Lenny Davis. For 39 years, they shared a marriage built on love, laughter, and deep companionship. Together, they raised two children, D’Andra Holder and Dashaun Davis, completing a family that was the center of Carolyn’s world.

As a grandmother, Carolyn’s love only grew deeper. She adored her grandchildren, Mason Victor and Maliyah Victor, showering them with affection, wisdom, and the kind of unconditional love only a grandmother can give.

A Spirit That Lit Up Every Room

Carolyn was more than a wife, mother, and grandmother—she was the heartbeat of every gathering. Known for her southern-infused cooking, she nourished not only the bodies but also the souls of those around her. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, her table a place of laughter, and her food a reflection of her love.

She was the life of the party, always ready to dance, to laugh, and to remind others to celebrate the beauty of life. Her vibrant spirit drew people in, and her wisdom kept them close. In Uniondale, New York, Carolyn became a true pillar of her community, offering guidance, encouragement, and love to young men and women who looked to her as both a mentor and a mother figure.

Remembering Carolyn

To know Carolyn was to know joy. To be loved by her was to be truly blessed. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Lenny Davis; her children, Clarence (Toby), D’Andra, and Dashaun; her grandchildren, Mason and Maliyah; her brother, George (Herman) Randolph Jr.; and a host of family and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Carolyn’s life was a living example of love, generosity, and resilience. Though her earthly journey has ended, her spirit will continue to dance in the laughter of her children, the strength of her grandchildren, and the countless lives she touched.

Love is the Key…….
