Ms. Carla Maria Simmons (Chosen) the daughter of Larry and Ann Simmons was born May 16, 1969 in Brunswick GA. In 1979 the family then relocated to North Charleston SC where Carla began her journey attending Charleston County Schools. She graduated from R.B Stall High School in 1987 after graduating high school she furthered her studies in Business Administration at Trident Technical College, North Charleston SC.
At the age of 12 Carla was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes as she adjusted to this major change in her life the battle had just begun but it did not take her determination, style to live her life to the fullest. She used her illness as a testimony to help and educate others in every part of her journey.
Carla made the best decision of her life when she gave her life to JESUS Christ and became a member of the Evening Of Prayer COGIC under the leadership of Pastor William A Prioleau. She assisted various parts of the ministry like the choir and praise dancing.
In 2007 she made the decision to move her membership to the Kingdom Of God Ministries under the leadership of her father Pastor Larry Simmons Sr. Carla served as the church secretary, leader of the Angels of Worship Choir, Praise dance team and the Young Women of Virtue. Even on her bed of affliction she expressed how when her healing manifested how she was going to Praise Dance and share her Gift that GOD blessed her with that was so dear to her heart. It is known that her favorite color is Purple which has a biblical meaning of Wealth and Royalty, which she represented every day as she fought her battle gracefully. Carla departed this life on Friday April 8, 2022 at Trident Hospital.
