 The Epitaph of Life

Calvin “Harold” Bell Sr. was born the eldest son of Beloved Billy and Carrie Lee Bell. He was born and raised in Holly Hill, South Carolina and graduated from Holly Hill Roberts High School. The hometown hero became a talented and skilled member of his community as an artist, musician, and master carpenter. In May of 1971, he married his beloved and high school sweetheart late Lourine Lee Bell of Eutawville. Their devout marriage produced a legacy with three children: Calvin Jr., Tamara, and Samoan Bell and reared grandchild: Jordon Bell.

He was drafted into the United States Army February of 1973, where he became a highly decorated and honorable warrior retiring as Command Sergeant Major.  He carried on his fervent devotion to GOD and country as Pastor in the Church of God in Christ across several states and countries abroad.  Calvin H. Bell Sr. moved to Roswell, New Mexico where he worked and traveled with his job at the New Mexico Military Institute. He was a prominent Man of God respected by many in his spiritual and physical journey.  After the ascension of his beloved wife Lourine Bell he was blessed to find love again to his wonderful devoted wife, he remarried on November 22, 2008 to Carolyn Royster- Bell and gained an extension of family of sons: Keith, Michael and Derrick Royster.

Calvin Harold Bell Sr. leaves to cherish sweet memories: wife of 14 years Carolyn Royster-Bell; 7 children: Calvin H. Bell Jr. of South Carolina, Tamara H. Bell of Arkansas, Samoan A. Bell of Texas, Jordon (Jenny) Bell, Keith (LaClondria) Royster, Michael (Melissa) Royster, Derrick (Yumiko) Royster. Siblings: Billy Bell Jr. (Earnelle), Clifford Bell (Gloria), Evelyn Bell, Carolyn Bell, Melvin Sr. (Thelma) Bell, Arnold (Betty) Bell, Mervin Bell Sr., Daniel Bell, and 23 grandkids and a tremendous legacy emulating the power of leadership, with vision and structure on a path of righteousness as a son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and warrior Sheppard amongst men.
