Beverly Ann Young, born on June 14, 1959, in Brooklyn, New York, peacefully entered eternal life on January 31, 2025. She was the youngest of three siblings, the beloved daughter of the late Beckett Young Jr. (Chuck) and Rosa Mae Young (Lucky).
Beverly grew up in Brooklyn, attending public schools and graduating from Midwood High School. Her commitment to service led her to join the U.S. Army Reserves as a Legal Clerk, a role that demonstrated her discipline and dedication. Upon returning to New York, Beverly began a career with the New York Police Department as a Dispatcher, and later, her work with the U.S. Postal Service saw her rise to the rank of Supervisor. After relocating to Holly Hill, South Carolina, she retired, enjoying a well-earned rest after years of hard work.
Beverly was known for her quiet demeanor and the warmth she shared with all who knew her. Her love for animals and her deep connection with her family, especially her brother Norman, her nephews, and her cherished aunts, made her a beloved figure. Beverly’s church family also held a special place in her heart,
and she will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Preceded in death by her eldest brother, Beckett Young III (Sonny), Beverly leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and grace. She is survived by her brother Norman Young, her nephews Hansan Norman Young and Noah Archeleus Young, and a host of aunts, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Her goddaughter, Natasha Callender, of Holly Hill, SC, was another source of joy in Beverly's life.
Beverly’s life was a testament to love, service, and devotion. She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family,
friends, and all who were touched by her gentle spirit.
