Arthur Alexander Wearing

Arthur Alexander Wearing, affectionately known to all as Archie, the son of the late Johnnie Wearing, Jr. and Evangelist Mary Lee Wearing was born October 18, 1965, in Holly Hill, SC. Archie departed this life on Sunday, June 12, 2022.

Archie was the oldest of five children. He was raised by parents who love the Lord and ensured that his environment was saturated with the presence of God's spirit. During Archie's life, he fellowshipped with many churches. Later in his life, became a member of Christian Antioch House of Prayer Church in Orangeburg, SC. He love the Lord and loved praising the Lord. Upon entering most churches, he would make himself known to all by immediately clapping and talkin in his own way to the Lord.

Archie's family cared for him with unconditional love nd adored him; he touched their lives and hearts in a special way. The unconditional love that was expressed toward Archie, he expressed that same love toward his family. Archie loved being pampered by having his head rubbed. Once you started rubbing his head, he would not let you stop until he was asleep. As his sibling played musical instruments, he loved holding on to their hands, but one never had to wonder if Archie wanted you around because he would show you that he did not want to be bothered by gently pushing you away.

Archie's hobbies included playing many musical instruments, especial the guitar. It didn't matter if it sounded good or not. His primary goal was to get it to produce sound, and the louder the better. Archie enjoyed sports as well and his favorite was wrestling, not the real one, he only liked the fake wrestling and WWE was his favorite. If you would put on the Olympics or competitive sports, he would just ignore them. But you put on WWE and bring out Hulk Hogan or the Nature Boy Ric Flair, he would clap his hands and enjoy himself in total delight. He often like to play wrestling with others. His favorite show was Hee Haw because of the music and singing. Archie also enjoyed game shows, particularly Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune.

Archie was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Wearing, Jr. and Evangelist Mary Lee Wearing and one brother, Johnnie Lee Wearing.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: one sister of the home, Willow Reese (Leroy) Anderson; two brothers: Eric Lamont (Sharekia) Wearing and Carl (LaTonya) Wearing, all of Holly Hill, SC; five uncles, nine aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who will sincerely miss his laugh and his loving smile.
