Anthony was born on August 26, 1966 in Charleston, SC. He was the son of the late Levi West, Sr. and Ruth Mae West.
Anthony aka “Sinbad” or “ Mush” attended Charleston County School District.
He worked many years at Haverty’s Furniture Store until he retired and moved to Jacksonville, Fl. After many years in Florida, he returned back to Charleston where he worked different jobs.
To know Anthony was to love him. He was a laid back shy type fellow. He enjoyed dancing and having fun. Sinbad was the jokester of the family, he loved to make you laugh. Anthony was a family man and truly loved his nieces and nephews. At any given time you can find him listening to his favorite artists like Frankie Beverly and Maze, “Before I let Go” and James Brown, “I Feel Good’! Before you know it, Mush would be on his feet dancing to the beats.
Sinbad married Tara West and with this union he raised a beautiful daughter, Ebony R. Horton. On September 15, 2012; he married LaTisha West and inherited two children: Shay Cassandra McCorkle and Jay O’neal Pinckney.
Anthony received his wings on May 28, 2023. He leaves behind to cherish his unforgettable memories: a son: Anthony; daughter: Ebony R. Horton (Dontez); of The Colony “Texas; two grandchildren: Syniah and Evan; his siblings: Levi West, Jr., Allen West, Maurice (Michelle) West, Raymond West, and Eric West; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
