Sidney R Durant

Ms. Sidney Rena Durant, the oldest daughter of the late Mr. James Jamison, Jr. and Mrs. Sarah Durant Jamison, was born on February 7, 1965 in Vance, South Carolina, Sidney grew up in New York City and the Vance community. She attended public schools in the area and was a graduate of Holly Hill Roberts High School and later attended Bamberg Job Corp in Bamberg, South Carolina. Upon completion of school Sidney relocated to Atlanta and was employed as a Security Officer at Wells-Fargo for several years. Ms. Durant was a hard worker who held various positions over the years. 

At an early age, Sidney was baptized and joined Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was kind-hearted person who touched the lives of many with whom she came in contact with. On the afternoon of June 15, 2018 after a brief illness, the Lord called Sidney home to rest from her labor. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Nicole Jamison Prezzy, and brother Shawn Jamison. 

She leaves to cherish her loving memories; one son, Terrance Durant of Vance, SC; two grandchildren, Uniquea Durant and Daquan Durant; four nieces including Shawndra Prezzy; two nephews, Rayon and J'Kembe Jamison; two brothers, Derrick (Jennia) Jamison of Branchville, SC and James Jamison III of Cary, NC; three uncles Rev. Roy Lee (First Lady Patty) Durant, Sr., Deacon Harold (Elder Deborah) Jamison, and Mr. Isreal Jamison; aunts Mrs. Margaret Vogt, Mrs. Annie Stoutamire, Earnestine (Frank) Bryant, Gracie Brown; great aunts Mrs. Adell Lewis, Mrs. Margaret Thomas, and Mrs. Francine Griffin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
