John Henry Council

John Henry Council, was born on June 14, 1944 in Orangburg County, SC. A son of the late Carlisle Council, Sr. and the late Mrs. Edna Mae Council. On Tuesday March 20, 2018, God called him home to rest. 

He grew up in Orangeburg County and attended the public schools of Holly Hill, SC. He was a member of Greater Target AME Church. 

John leaves to cherish his beautiful memories of four sisters, Zadie Bernard and Lillian Johnson (Fred) both of Greensboro, NC, Shirley Jenkins (Leroy) of Holly Hill, S.C. and Rachel Shaw (Matthew) of Vance, SC; three brothers, Carlisle Council, Jr. (Joyce), Ernest Council (Diane), and James Council all of Holly Hill, SC; a special friend, Linda Washington of Holly Hill, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
