Jackie Robinson

Mr.Jackie Robinson was born April 14th, 1951 to the late Heyward Robinson and Anna Lambright Robinson. He entered into eternal rest August 7th 2018 at his residence following an extended illness.

Jackie grew up in the Unity community of Holly Hill and attended the public schools. He was employed at the Santee Cement Plant for many years.

Bro. Jackie Robinson began his Christian journey at an early age while attending Greater Unity A.M.E. Church in Holly Hill, SC. He was a member of the Senior Usher Board, The Trustee Board, The Sons of Allen, and The Ernest Brown 60 Plus Society.

On March 5th, 2009 he was joined in holy wedlock to Mrs. Barbara Richburg Robinson. To this union they were blessed with two loving  children, Ms. Lasasha R. Richburg who preceded him in death, and Jacqueline L. Robinson. He is also preceeded in death by his two brothers, Heyward Robinson and Ronald Robinson.

Jackie leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mrs. Barbara R. Robinson ; his children: his daughters,  Jacqueline Robinson and of Greenville, SC  and Leidre (Derrick) Johnson of Columbia, SC; his two sons, Jermain (Stacey) Robinson of Waterbury, CT and Quinton Robinson of Columbia, SC;  two brothers: Horace Robinson and Joseph (Annie) Robinson of Holly Hill, SC; five sisters: Ms. Florence Robinson, Ms. Gloria Pringle, Christine (Michael) Washington all of Holly Hill, SC, Ms. Bertha Mae Robinson, Ms. Annie Ruth Robinson of Orangeburg, SC.; ten grandchildren: Jermaine Jr. , Alexus, Jae Quan, Jordan, Jada, Aja, Ayani, Agjon, Shikeen, and Lamont; one great grandchild, Jermaine III; six aunts: Catherine Elmore, Ida Kay Bennett, Beneva Lambright, Mae Frances Richardson of Holly Hill, SC, Florance Collier of Santee, SC, Patricia Robinson of Eutawville, SC; brother-laws: George (Gladys) Mack, James (Reather) Richburg of Holly Hill, SC , Johnny L. Richburg of Holly Hill, SC, and Troy Rinckney of Ridgeville, SC; sister-in-law: Paticia  Paker of Summerville, SC , and a host of nieces, nephews., other relatives, and friends.
