Mr. Elsey Phillips was born Thursday, August 12, 1976. Elsey grew up in Pineland Community of Vance, SC in which he was well-loved by many, many people.

Elsey began his secondary education at Holly-Hill Roberts High School and completed it at Bamberg Job Corps Center. Elsey joined Rock Hill AME Church in Vance, SC. Prior to his illness, he was employed by Martel Construction of Bozeman, Montana. 

Having fought a good fight, Elsey entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 2, 2017. Those of us who remain here and who loved him know that we need not worry about him for he will be greeted by his mother, Brenda Phillips and his father, George Jamison, Jr. at Heaven's gate.

He leaves fond memories with his loving and devoted grandmother, Lula (Bea) Jamison, and his dedicated aunt, Ola Bell Smith. Left to rejoice in the memories of his legacy are his children, Two Sons: Tyrelle Duncan of Vance, SC and Jahiem Rush of Boston, MA; Five Daughters: Iliyah Phillips of Snellville, GA, Sha'Toya Jacques of Holly Hill, SC, Ally and Zoe' Dixon of Orangeburg, SC, and Arbre'ona Phillips of Orangeburg, SC. His memories will forever be cherished by his siblings, five sisters: Elaine Capers of Holly Hill, SC, Janel Phillips and Dionne Council of Orangeburg, SC, Denise Jamison-Brown (William) of Columbia, SC, and Brittany Jamison of Raleigh, NC; two brothers: Brian Phillips of Santee, SC and Byron Sims of Vance, SC; one granddaughter, Londyn Phillips-Singleton of Snellville, GA; a devoted friend, Shonta Jacques, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
