Elijah Bryant, Sr., the son of the late J.C. and Eva Mae Bryant, was born January 12, 1943 in Holly Hill, SC. He departed this life on December 10, 2018 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, SC. Elijah accepted Christ at an early age as his personal Savior. During his early life he became a member of Greater Target AME Church of Holly Hill, SC. Elijah was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was employed with REA Construction, where he worked for 20 years before becoming ill and having to retire in the late 90's.
In 1960, Elijah was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mae Bell White who preceded him in death. To this union they were blessed with five children. Four children preceded him in death: Diane Bryant, Brenda B. Williams, Rodney Bryant, and Elijah Daniel Bryant, Jr.
Mr. Bryant leaves to cherish his fond memories: one daughter, Gail Bryant of the home; twelve grandchildren: Rashean (Brandy) James of Augusta, GA, Ishara Bryant of the home, Tara (Roy) Carr of Santee, SC, Rodeikus, Daisha, Mae Bell, Richardo Bryant of Eutawville, SC, Rasheeda Bryant of Augusta, GA, Marquel, Katrina, Brittany Bryant of the home, and Shanice Bryant of Santee, SC; two lovely children he raised: William Bryant of Eutawville, SC and Sharon Bryant of Santee, SC; two daughter in laws: Elnora Bryant of Augusta, GA, and Virginia Bryant of Vance, SC; one brother: Wilson (Yolanda) Bryant of Vance, SC; seven brother in laws: Albert White of Vance, SC, Ernest White of Miami, FL, Jerome (Judy) White of Santee, SC, Ernest (Catherine) White of Holly Hill, SC, Freddie (Lee Ann) White of Columbia, SC, Samuel White of Tampa, FL and Johnny (Barbara) White of Orangeburg, SC; five sister-in-laws: Mary (Louise) Smalls of Vance, SC, Shirley (Joseph) Rush of Elloree, SC, Dorothy (Robert) Pelzer of Vance, SC Sarah (David) Bailey of Holly Hill, SC and Janice (Horace) White of Holly Hill, SC and a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
